Salinas Salad Bowl Bobby Sox is a girls’ softball league, providing
young women in our community the opportunity to experience the
fun of learning and playing fastpitch softball. Our teams start with
players as young as 4 years old and girls can play until they are 18.
Each year our league supports over 400 players, there are no
tryouts, and everyone plays. Our program encourages participation
and involvement of the entire family. Parents are needed as
volunteers for team managers, coaches, and chaperones.
Our fields are located at the corner of Russell Road and
Van Buren Avenue, behind Gavilan View Middle School.
The Salinas Bobby Sox Softball League is an educational organization committed to giving all eligible girls, regardless of race, color, creed or athletic ability the freedom to explore the game of softball. The emphasis in Bobby Sox Softball is on playing the game and having fun. Playing makes everyone feel like a winner and girls develop physically, spiritually, and emotionally. The softball field is a platform upon which children can perform for their parents, relatives, and friends in healthy and productive ways. The Bobby Sox tradition offers a supportive opportunity for participants ensuring a respectful, ethical commitment that views all levels of athletic ability as valuable.
